A UFC veteran might be thinking about a possible comeback.

That veteran is Matt Brown. Leading his fight with Diego Sanchez on the UFC Fight Night 120 main card on November 11, 2017 at the Ted Constant Call Center in Norfolk, Virginia, Brown made it clear that this would be his retirement fight.

The promotion even advertised it as their last fight with video packages before the fighters were about to enter the Octagon.

However, after the fight, which saw him score a first round knockout over Sanchez, Brown was evasive in stating that he would have to take the time to make his decision.

As a result of crushing Sanchez with a fierce standing elbow in the UFC Norfolk main event, Brown broke a three-game losing streak. He also scored his first victory in two years.

Although it was a great performance for Brown, it was bittersweet due to the fact that he has many wonderful memories of seeing Sanchez compete in the early days of the promotion.

Sanchez was one of Brown’s favorite fighters because he inflicted such damage. It was a difficult fight for him, not only physically, but mentally.

Brown is still interested in fighting Carlos Condit. Recently, with the Fight Society podcast (transcript courtesy of MMA Fighting) and during the interview, he suggested that he postpone his “semi-retirement” if this fight can be carried out.

“Maybe it’s time we closed the horns,” Brown said. “I would love it, I have a lot of respect for him, of course, I would love it, everyone would want to see that fight, it was supposed to happen sooner.

We’ll see what happens. That is definitely a people I would like to see no matter what. It would be a fight for ages. Now it would be a fight that would make me want to leave semi-retirement. ”

“Maybe it’s time we closed the horns,” Brown said. “I would love it, I have a lot of respect for him, of course, I would love it, everyone would want to see that fight, it was supposed to happen sooner.

“I have not made any decision about anything, that would be one that would probably wake me up and take me out of bed.”

“We would definitely have to go to five,” Brown said. “We’ll see what happens, maybe Sean Shelby will be listening and calling me next week.”
