There are not many Tag Team wrestlers in WWE right now who can boast the credentials Luke Gallows has when it comes to that division. Having won championships around the world, Gallows returned to WWE in 2016 and has since also added a Raw Tag Team champion to his collection with Karl Anderson.
As decorated as Gallows at this point in his career, it seems that, like any other fighter, he was once stuck on the independent circuit trying to find a way to get to the WWE.
Gallows recently appeared on The Steve Austin Show, where he was asked how he was hired by WWE for the first time.
He said: “I called Tommy Dreamer and Johnny Ace every week, like, ‘Hi guys, you should probably hire me, I’m pretty good.'” I was having t-bull competitions in West Virginia against boys in furniture stores and things Terrible! So they were finally opening Deep South and I think they had to fill it up and I would not leave them alone, so I kind of got in after three years of terrible indies. ”
It seems that when it comes to being signed by the world’s largest fight promotion, persistence is key. Of course, Gallows is not in the best position on Raw’s list at the moment, but he currently has a position that many other fighters in the world could only dream of.
